| Marc Anthony Rios was born in
Ontario, Oregon on May 25, 1973 and has resided in Las
Vegas since he was six months old. An early interest
in science led to an interest in science fiction. Over
the years that interest in science fiction blossomed
into writing. For someone who loves to watch and read
adventures in fictional lands writing them is a dream
come true.
Marc graduated from Rancho High School in North Las
Vegas in 1991 and attended the Community College of
Southern Nevada beginning Fall 1991 and UNLV beginning
Fall of 1993. He was studying physics and engineering
but problems with ADHD, anxiety and depression forced
him out of school. Years later after he got off the
depression medication he was on and got interested
in Taoism he began to correct his physical and mental
health problems. In 1998 he began writing his first
novel, The Chronos Project: A Race Against Time. Although
initially published in 2002 by another publisher it
didn’t go very far. Of course it was essentially
a rough draft and has been revised many times. The
entire series has been revised as well as the companion
series. I am currently working on my first nonfiction
book. It should be finished by the end of the year.

escape from the world every once in a while and a
good book is a great way to do that. I try to make
a mental note of anything I think might make a good
story element.”
